For many years touring bikes were for old guys. They were called geezer glides, they were made fun of, etc. Now we all own touring bikes even though the way the average rider rides hasn’t changed much at all. We feel like we need storage, a fairing, GPS, etc. I am not knocking touring bikes, I love them, but I do think we might be losing some of the basics of why we ride a motorcycle, and riding a Softail can remind us why motorcycling is great. Let’s chat about the bikes I rode in Texas, and how they are causing me to question everything.
